The animal-loving model has gamely put himself up for auction all in aid of Battersea Cats & Dogs Home, an organisation he has supported for years.
The highest bidder will win a dog walk in the park with Gandy and a cute canine Battersea resident. The auction will open on October 31, before which an array of other celebrities also offering dog walking dates will be announced – an A-list Hollywood actor, a recording artist, fashion designer and television hero are the only hints they are giving away so far.

“I can often be found at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home with the rescue dogs, visiting and helping out. As their Ambassador, I like to support however I can and to share this experience with someone and raise much needed funds at the same time, is a pleasure,” says Gandy. “Giving fans the chance to walk a Battersea dog with someone they would like to meet, is a great way to do this and lots of well known people have come together to make it happen.”
The auction is part of the animal charity’s annual Collars & Coats Gala Ball, which will this year take place on November 7 at Battersea Park’s Evolution. It costs over £18 million to run Battersea Cats & Dogs Home each year, so the event is essential for fundraising.
