A few years on and the accessories label has undergone a transformation. Founded by Paul Slade in the early 1990s, it began life as a custom T-shirt brand. Slade was heavily influenced by the artwork of Jeff Koons, which goes some way to explain the rather eclectic nature of his designs.
The brand enjoyed rapid expansion during the Nineties, from a humble stall on Portobello Market to multiple standalone stores and concessions in Topshop’s flagship store and an expanding presence in John Lewis nationwide. Now, a couple of decades on from its modest beginnings, Paul’s Boutique has debuted a new and improved look.
