This video shows Hollywood stars Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt greeting fans as they made a pit stop in Paris on Wednesday.
Their appearance on the red carpet was the second leg of their three-city premiere of the new sci-fi action movie ‘Edge of Tomorrow’, after a first red carpet in London.
The final leg will be in New York.
Fans lined up outside the cinema on the Champs Elysees to get photos and autographs from the stars — some had been queuing up since 8am.
Cruise, who has saved the world on numerous occasions in his previous films, said this time his character didn’t have the traits of a hero.
"Edge of Tomorrow" features Cruise as Major William Cage who has been forced into a war against aliens who have invaded the Earth.
After dying within minutes of landing, Cage is thrown into a time loop forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over – which also allows him to learn new skills, with the help of Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski, played by Blunt.
In one of the first action sequences in the film, humans land on beaches in France to fight the aliens — the very same beaches in Normandy where Allied commandoes landed during World War II, prepared to meet the enemy waiting behind the Nazi defenses.
Blunt, of ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ fame, has ditched fashionable skirts and make-up to don combat fatigues and weapons in "Edge of Tomorrow." "Edge of Tomorrow" hits cinemas worldwide on May 30.
