Professional boxer Mike Tyson has spoken out about being sexually abused at the age of 7.
Talking in a radio interview, the 48-year-old said he had been molested by an old man when he was growing up in Brooklyn.
"He snatched me off the street," Tyson explained. "I was a little kid, seven. They were an old man.
"It was one time, one time. I never seen him again."
Tyson told the radio host he was just walking along the street when the man grabbed him.
The young boxer explained how he had to run away from his attacker following the assault, but never went to the police. Mike speaks out
"It’s nobody’s business to know," Tyson explains, as the presenters admit they never knew he had been assaulted.
"Entertainers have egos to buffer their flaws, their demons," he continues.
When asked if he drastically changed after that day, the boxer replied: "I don’t know if I did or not.
"I’m not embarrassed or ashamed of anything from that perspective."
